The event recognized the achievements of the competitors in cricket, football and Shuttlechamps 2.0 (badminton).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The event was presided over by IIT Director Dr. Risala Tasin Khan. She appreciated the participants and highlighted the importance of sports in the lives of students.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Former Director of IIT-JU Dr. M. Kaiser was present as the special guest at the event and along with other teachers, presented the awards and certificates to the winners.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Muammar Shahriar, former president of IIT-JU Sports Club (2023-24), discussed the positive impact of sports on the mental health of students. He said, &#8220;Such activities help students reduce academic stress and keep them engaged in constructive and positive activities, keeping them away from negative activities.&#8221;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">On the other hand, General Secretary Atiqul Islam thanked Tanmoy 42nd Avartan for sponsoring the prize money in ITPL Cricket.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The IIT-JU Sports Club awards ceremony was held at the Institute of Information Technology, Jahangirnagar University.
